Celebration of Life

Debra Large (1956-2022)

Debra (“Deb”) Large, born April 4, 1956, lost her battle with cancer on March 8, 2022.  Deb was adored by her family and anyone who was fortunate enough cross paths with her.  Deb has a special relationship with FC44 Foundation, the Alter community, and the Murnen family.  Deb’s desire is for her life to be remembered as a Celebration of Life and in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to FC44 Foundation.  Deb’s cancer battle mirrors Kurt’s battle.  She fought cancer to remission and then had to fight when cancer reoccurred.  Deb also fought cancer with strength and courage like Kurt did.  FC44 is honored Deb wanted FC44 to be included in her Celebration of Life.  A donation in her memory will help in FC44’s mission to continue to fight against cancer in the memory of those whom we have lost.  Please use the link below to donate now in memory of Deb.

How to get involved:

FC44 Foundation, Inc. is accepting donations in memory of Kurt Patrick Murnen to carry out our mission:

  • Perpetuate Kurt’s legacy by creating awareness to his story and providing support to educational and charitable organizations.
  • Provide financial support to organizations dedicated to the research and treatment of cancer; searching for a cure to aid in the fight embarked by others.
  • Provide a scholarship named in Kurt’s memory at Archbishop Alter High School to be provided to an individual who embodies the same spirit Kurt possessed in the face of adversity.

Contribute Monthly:

44 Forever:

One donation option is to enroll in the “44 Forever” program.  This program is a long-term commitment to the support of FC44 Foundation, Inc. and the perpetuation of Kurt Murnen’s legacy.  This program calls for the enrollment in a credit card program to provide a monthly donation of $44 in the name of Kurt Murnen to FC44 Foundation, Inc.  This equates to $528 dollars a year and $1.44 a day that you are contributing to this cause.  This is a monthly amount that is easier to budget for as the equivalent of a dinner at a restaurant versus a once a year donation.

All donations are greatly appreciated and each donation will contribute in FC44 Foundation, Inc.’s ability to carry out its mission to remember a missed son, brother, and friend; Kurt Murnen.
